Project Goal
To transform the mobile chat interface of an AI business travel assistant for flight and hotel bookings, by improving visual appeal, usability, and responsiveness through a user-centered design approach.
The initial Challenge
The existing interface presented key information, such as flight preferences, as large blocks of text, leading to poor readability and a less engaging user experience.
The initial design also lacked specific mobile-first considerations for various common user flows.

Streamlining Core User Flows
(Flight Search & Results)
Welcome Chat
This screen features a welcoming message from Swifty, presenting clear, interactive buttons for users to initiate a flight-only, hotel-only, or flight & hotel search within a clean chat interface.


Flight Search Input
Designed for conversational input, this screen prompts the user with distinct, interactive fields to easily enter departure city, destination city, and dates for their flight search, maintaining a modern chat aesthetic.
Flight Preferences Summary
Intervention: The dense text block was reimagined into a card-based layout featuring clear icons and structured, scannable text.
Impact: This change significantly improved visual appeal and readability, allowing users to quickly grasp their selected preferences at a glance, thereby enhancing clarity and reducing cognitive load.


Flight Search Results
This screen elegantly displays a list of flight options as scannable cards, detailing times, airlines, duration, stops, and prices, and smoothly integrates the redesigned flight preferences summary at the top for quick reference.
"Sort by Price" option has been added, allowing users to easily reorder flight results from lowest to highest or highest to lowest price.
Filtering options for airlines and number of stops have been added, allowing users to easily refine their search results.
Introducing a Comprehensive Booking Flow

Passenger Details
This screen provides a clear summary of the selected flight and organized input fields for passenger details, all within Swifty's light theme.


Payment Information
Designed for secure and easy payment, this screen features clear input fields for card details and a prominent 'Pay Now' button, maintaining the app's clean, light aesthetic.
Booking Confirmation
A reassuring final screen displaying a success message, booking reference, flight summary, and options to view the e-ticket or add to the calendar, consistent with the light theme.

Overall Impact
Through a focused, iterative approach to mobile UX design, the AI travel assistant interface evolved from merely functional to highly intuitive and visually engaging. By prioritizing clarity, scannability, and consistent interaction patterns adapted for mobile, the redesigned elements significantly improved user satisfaction and efficiency throughout the travel planning and booking journey. The coherent visual language and user-centric features contribute to a more seamless and enjoyable experience for business travelers.
